This will be a Local St. Louis Event: Save Our Sons & Sisters Fall Fair & "multi-event": (1) a hiring event with the City of St. Louis, (2) a resource fair, (3) a block party, and, to cap it all off, (4) a 1-mile fun run/walk to promote health and wellness.
We're seeking to approach and tackle all of the barriers that we often hear from our clients regarding what's inhibiting them from being successful in their lives. The hiring event to assist in providing an opportunity for economic equity, the resource fair to connect those in need with necessary services, the block party to bring a bit of joy and fun while also distributing school supplies, and the 1-mile family fun run/walk, as previously stated, to promote health and wellness. We did our first block party back in March 2024 and over 400 people came out and we were able to assist 266 of them with getting employment with the City of St. Louis. We're hoping to double those numbers this time around.
