“My Soul Cries Out” A Powerful Stage Play about the Struggles of Faith from within.
[Florissant, MO - JULY 25TH, 2023] - TWO QUEENZ OF HEART PRODUCTIONS is proud to present the return of the Christian-based stage play, "My Soul Cries Out". Written by Bertha Myers, the play tackles the universal struggle of the tug-of-war within oneself. This play promises to leave its audience with multiple meanings, providing entertainment, humor, and interactivity that will have everyone thinking about their tomorrow. The play emphasizes the importance of trusting God and not letting the enemy win within oneself and knowing that we must make a decision and be wise with the time God gives us.
The play's message resonates with Bertha Myers, who was struggling from within then she began to write. As she wrote, she heard a voice say, "Soul, why are thy disquiet...do you not trust in God?" Her writing led her to the quote, "If there is no enemy on the inside, then the enemy on the outside can do you no harm." This inspired her to ask the question, "How do I win?"
Local actors from St. Louis, including Gloria Blocker Morrow, Kevin Trice, and Ameyah Summerville, will perform in the play. The show will run on Saturday, August 26th to Sunday, August 27th, with showtimes at 7:00 PM and doors opening at 6:30 PM. The play will be held at the James Eagan Civic Center in Florissant, MO, located at 1 James Eagan Dr, Florissant, MO 63033.
